The role of a sales Director is critical in leading and managing a company's sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. Below are common job responsibilities for a Sales Director:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion.
  • Creating on line and off line marketing strategy to generate leads, (attracting customers)

b. Putting in place a plan to convert leads,(Sales funnel management)

c. Designing a customer service experience to maximize the “Sales through service” element.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Recruit, train,and develop sales representatives.
  • They will set the right example by participating in selling efforts.
  • They will set, monitor and drive activities (sales KPI’s) to achieve sales

targets in a healthy motivating environment for both broker sand own sales team.

  • They will manage communication and share best practices among network and own sales team members.

Develop team performance:

  • When needed, they will develop performance of both Brokers and Own sales force.
  • Hold people accountable for performance.

  • Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring they align with overall company objectives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the sales team, providing guidance and support.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with key clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and potential opportunities.
  • Use market insights to adapt sales strategies and gain a competitive edge.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage the sales department budget.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to aid in resource planning.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the overall sales operation.


  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.


  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies,industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Negotiation and Deal Closing:

  • Participate in high-level negotiations and assist in closing strategic deals.
