Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers to lead engineering and site delivery for pump rental and overpumping contracts across the UAE.
The role will involve managing multiple contracts simultaneously across construction, municipality, oil & gas, pipeline, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering documentation, equipment and resource planning, site supervision, commercial coordination, and continuous improvement of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead engineering and site delivery activities following contract award.
- Prepare and approve method statements, risk assessments, project programmes, and safe systems of work.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved programmes, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress and address operational challenges promptly.
Equipment & Resource Management
- Assess project requirements and specify suitable pumps, equipment, and supporting systems.
- Coordinate procurement and mobilization of pumps and equipment.
- Plan and prioritize manpower, plant, equipment, and third-party labour to ensure efficient project execution.
- Optimize resource utilization to maintain lean and commercially viable project operations.
Team Supervision
- Supervise, mentor, and support Project Engineers and Site Foremen.
- Conduct regular planning and coordination meetings.
- Provide technical and operational guidance to site teams.
- Ensure effective workforce deployment across multiple projects.
Site Data & Reporting
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of site information, including as-built data and discharge flows.
- Maintain proper project records and documentation.
- Ensure site records and supporting documents are maintained to support payment applications and project valuations.
Commercial & Contractual Management
- Attend contractual and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
- Identify potential variations, claims, and additional work opportunities.
- Ensure site records and measurements are properly documented and signed off.
- Support timely payment applications and commercial recovery.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce project waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Minimize unnecessary transportation, waiting time, idle inventory, and rework.
- Implement practical improvements to make project delivery more efficient and cost-effective.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Maintain a strong focus on the safety of employees, subcontractors, third parties, and the public.
- Work closely with the HSSE team to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Promote proactive safety practices, including near-miss reporting.
- Ensure safe systems of work are implemented across project sites.
